Full Services Moves
Full service moves mean involvement of the crew in every aspect of the move – we will provide full packing of the belongings, document boxes and inventory items to be moved, securely load the moving truck, transport household goods to a new location, unload, unpack, reassemble, place the belongings where the customer needs them, and take away the packing material waste as we leave.
Partial (Itemized) Moves
The local moves of individual item(s) that involve small loads of 2,000 pounds or less are called partial in the moving industry (e.g. bedroom sets, fridge, mattress, or some boxes). These jobs are calculated using hourly rate subject to Maxx 4 Tariff. Flat rates could be offered in some cases.
Specialty Moves
We can professionally transport items that are rare or out of the ordinary, which often means extra value and extra weight. We regularly move pianos, artwork, outdoor video systems, gym equipment, spas, and crystal decor. Each such moving order is unique and requires careful planning. We provide climate controlled in-transit storage, packing and crating, and additional insurance.
OUR CUSTOMERS
MOVING INSURANCE
On Point Moving offers basic insurance of $0.60 per pound/article, according to CPUC provisions, included in our price. If a customer wants additional insurance for their shipment, it may be purchased through our third party affiliate at www.movinginsurance.com. If a customer does not purchase additional insurance, they will be given a maximum rate of $0.60 per pound per article, by default, through On Point Moving.
Storage In-Transit (SIT) – is a temporary storage option, pending further transportation, included to accommodate any last minute changes and emergency situations. It is ideal for people moving into a new home and in need of a safe and secure place to store their items while they wait for a closing date, resolution of construction-related and other issues.
